Roast Sausages with Chianti and Grapes
Two things to note here; firstly it’s worth going to a great butcher and getting a really good sausage. I use a mixture of sweet and spicy Italian sausages so people get a bit of variety. Secondly, choose a pan to fry the onions in that’s going to be big enough to fit in all the sausages later. I use a cast iron le Creuset. Totally worth the work heaving it out from under the bed, where it lives in my very small apartment.

I’m a fan of chianti. It’s the kind of drink that you preserve the bottles from to put candles in. I had one for years that collected wax like a stalagmite, but which was damaged when I moved apartments and had to be started all over again.
